    Teacher pages on school websites are an amazing tool to help students, parents, and teachers to stay informed and effectively communicate. Although my alma mater didn’t require teachers to maintain a set of class pages, I was able to find a local high school that did. Leon High School’s common literature teacher has a very well organized and informative teacher website that includes student resources, assignment due dates, and classroom updates.   In the initial steps in completing my assignments using Diigo, I was confused by the site’s formatting and layout. After joining the EME 2040 Diigo group, the structure made more sense. However, I personally prefer using a browser to bookmark external sites. This could simply be because using Diigo has been a learning experience for me and I am not fully comfortable with it yet. Additionally, I prefer doing annotations by hand on paper because it is much more effective for my learning technique.  I have thoroughly enjoyed using blogging in this class! I like interacting with my classmates and hearing their thoughts. This allows me to broaden my perspective and reflect on the curriculum of this course.   Although I have used Twitter as a social media for many years, I have recently been using it in a more professional setting. My early experiences using Twitter in education have been characterized as beneficial. This platform allowed me to effectively communicate with classmates and interact with professionals. Twitter might be helpful in my future career as an educator in that I could create an account for classroom updates and important information.  The term digital divide is defined as the gap between individuals who have access to technology and those individuals who do not. This divide is especially present within the educational communities. Those students who do not have access to technology suffer by not being able to participate in a very digitally centered environment (online classes).
