The concepts of copyright and fair use help teachers to know what they may do under the law. Copyright is a succession of governmental laws that restrict the application of someone’s ideas or products. On the other hand, fair use is the act of applying copyright laws justly. The process of fair use is characterized by proper citations when using an author’s work in ways that they explicitly allow. As an educator, I think it is more beneficial to use original ideas to effectively teach students. With that being said, it can also be beneficial to utilize fair use and apply other’s ideas to your lesson plans while properly citing them. As a teacher, it  is also very important to ensure that your students are practicing fair use in completing their assignments, as plagiarism is a common issue in education. Platforms like ‘turnitin.com’ can be extremely helpful in ensuring that copyright is not present in students' work. 

In my experience, the application of technology within the classroom has been fairly easy, but I’m aware that some students have struggled with online learning. As technology continues to advance and become more of a primary aspect of learning, classrooms will need to adapt to contest technology implementation issues such as academic dishonesty, cyberbullying, decreased productivity, lack of funding, and student privacy. As stated in the previous paragraph, turnitin.com is a tool that can be utilized to combat academic dishonesty issues. Additionally, a lack of student productivity can be solved by creating engaging and interactive lesson plans and allowing for students to communicate among themselves and with professors throughout the online class. 

The Newsletter Design assignment allowed me to develop new skills in regards to implementing visual effects in multimedia. It also allowed me to develop a better understanding for what aspects I believe will be important within my classroom. In the future, I can improve my newsletter design by organizing my information more clearly and making the layout easier to read. The skills I acquired in completing this assignment will help me in my future career in that I now understand the essential components of a newsletter and will be sure to incorporate them when the time comes.
